Joel Hitchcock Ministries held yet another crusade in India--this time in the city of Miryalguda.
“STRETCHED” FAITH AND VISION GREETINGS TO YOU IN JESUS NAME! I am so excited to share with you the new thing that the Father is doing in our ministry. I don't think our faith and vision has ever been “stretched” as much as it has been stretched in the last twelve months. And I want to pray that YOUR faith and YOUR vision will be stretched so big that God will fit into it. When a GOD-SIZED vision is accomplished, only God can get the glory for it, for ONLY HE can make it happen.
I know my report on our GREAT INDIA CRUSADE has been long overdue, but I know you will be blessed by it. We held a crusade in the city of Miryalguda , in the Andhra Pradesh province. That area is known for the activities of the Naxalites—a socialist group that regularly clashes with the local police. Our platform was torn down by them in the middle of the night before the crusade. Our faithful volunteers rebuilt it and that was the last of it. The crowds were somewhat small at the beginning of the crusade, but it the people came in greater numbers on the last two evenings. We had printed tens of thousands of beautiful full color posters and flyers and set up a number of “cut outs” (bill boards shaped in the profile of the evangelist.) Two decorated jeeps equipped with a PA system on their roofs loudly announced details concerning the crusade as they drove on the city streets with advertising banners over them.
The Word of the Lord was preached and although we don't have a good count of the salvations, multitudes of souls accepted the Lord Jesus into their hearts and renounced all gods but Him. Faithful to Mark 16:21 the Lord confirmed His Word with signs following. As people witnessed the power of the Lord to heal, they pushed toward the platform for prayer. A number of blind or partially blind and deaf or partially deaf people were healed. A very touching highlight was when one man saw a visible hand come towards him and heal his severely incapacitated eyes. He removed his VERY THICK glasses, and could see CLEARLY.
A PASTORS AND LEADERS conference and WOMEN'S conference was also held during the day time. Approximately 150 pastors, leaders and women attended free of charge. They were also blessed with a free meal on each day of the conference. A highlight was on the last day, when a mighty outpouring of the Spirit happened upon them all. Some fell to the floor, others knelt, and yet others would raise their hands in adoration.
It was wonderful, and in due time we are to hold a much greater crusade, with 100,000 souls in attendance—touched and changed by the Lord.
