This bus is to be the Hitchcock's "home on the road." We have traveled extensively around the country, and have stayed in some fleabag motels or some nicer hotels. We have always tried to be sparing when it came to our hotels, paying between $69 and $129 for a three star hotel.
We believe that a motorhome would meet our needs best. Our children are being home schooled so their schooling will not change. This way the Hitchcocks can still stay together as a family as Joel preaches around the country. Joel and Heidi have always traveled together, but this has been cut short with the challenge of our four precious kids. We think that having an RV will help significantly.
We are currently looking at the bus below, which we can obtain at a "bargain price" of $21,000.00, but that is just the shell. Then we need about $30,000.00 to convert it into a home. Once it is completed, it will be worth $250,000.00, which it would cost had it been bought already assembled. The bus is a 1990 model, but I can also get a 1994 model at a higher price, which is a consideration.
